Well, for a nice start to my day one of my readers, Jeannie McDowell, presented me with the ABC Award. First I want to thank her for thinking of me, and secondly suggest that you stop by and check out her blog as it’s well worth the click. jmmcdowell.
As usual I’m probably mucking up the proper way to go about these things, so if I haven’t handled it properly in the past, I’ll take the time now to reassure you that most likely I’ll screw it up in the future as well, as a matter a fact you can probably set your watch by it.
I have been asked to use 26 letters of the alphabet in either a word or a phrase to best describe myself. I suggest you enjoy a strong cup of coffee prior to reading this. I assure you I have. Here we go:
adventurous, batty, curious, determined, eccentric, fiery, giddy, happy, irritating (that contributed from my other half – hah), jovial, klutzy, loony, mermaid, naturalist, optimist, passionate, quirky, resourceful, stubborn, tenacious, unsettled, vociferous, wispy, x-ray phobic, young at heart, zealous.
Then I am to share the award. This is the easy part, in a way. I read so many bloggers posts and enjoy them all, but these two come to mind at the moment:
thestrugglershandbook – Penned by a Tucson married father of three. I particularly enjoy his quirky humor when writing about his full house.
foodimentary – A “food notebook” with lots of interesting and quirky facts about food.
I hope you’ll take the time to visit these sites. It’s a nice feeling to get acknowledged for your writing. Someone asked me recently whether I wrote this blog for me or the people who are kind enough to stop by and read it. I answered, both. I would continue to write even if only for myself, but it is especially nice to know that someone else might take a laugh or two, or find a recipe they liked out of my stories. Have a great day!
